Director’s Order for Facial Coverings in Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Huron, Montgomery, and Trumbull Counties in Level 3 Public Health Advisory

As the spread of COVID-19 accelerates in Ohio, the Department of Health supplemented existing statewide Orders with a system of further guidance to protect Ohioans. The counties of Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Huron, Montgomery, and Trumbull have each triggered four or more of the key indicators in the Ohio Public Health Advisory System.

COVID-19 Update: Face Coverings to be Required in High-Risk Counties

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced today that effective on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., a new Ohio Department of Health order will mandate face coverings in public in all counties that are designated as a Red Alert Level 3 Public Health Emergency or a Purple Alert Level 4 Public Health Emergency.
